We were all set to batten down the hatches and brace ourselves for the January blues when out of nowhere a shot of glorious yellow arrived to say our A Dog’s Life Gift Book has been shortlisted in the Gift of the Year charity category. Such was our unexpected joy, it soon dawned on us just how long it’s been since we’ve had any good news. So please do excuse us if we over overshare it with everyone! Oh but how great would it be if all our underdogs collectively became Top Dog!
The winners get announced early February and if the good news keeps on rolling, then hopefully it will be a lovely little nudge for all the gift retailers out there to find a space by their tills for this book. Alternatively, feel free to encourage/nag your favourite dog friendly outlet into stocking a few copies.
If a book is purchased via our website, then we donate 20% of each sale straight to Dogs Trust. The aim is to raise £25,000 and we are almost half way there. This book is the centre piece of our new A Dog’s Life Collection | Dogs Trust which includes more of our card and gift lines. These will all help to boost the fund raising pot. Look out for the Dogs Trust logo when you browse our collections and shop knowing that your purchases are ticking more than one happy box.
And while we are here, can we also say a genuine thank you to everyone who has added an extra pound or two to Dogs Trust when placing an order online. Collectively you have already donated over £1,400 which makes us super giddy, think zoomies level of giddy. We do so love seeing the collective power of lots of people giving just a little. Amazing.
And finally, if it’s not too much to ask ( but only if and when you have time) any reviews on the book or indeed anything created by us are very useful to others. And we think, but don’t quote us, reviews help our google search ranking. Perhaps more importantly, your comments help us improve our service and if it’s a kind review, the good feeling boost lasts all day!
Take care folks, hope there is some nice news heading your way too.
All the very best from
Anna and the Little Dog team
