Allow me to introduce Hannibal. Born into rescue care Hannibal & Wallace were not feral like their mum. But you’d be forgiven for thinking so. Velociraptors is often the image that springs to Melissa’s mind as she deals with their latest antics. Now entering their terrible twos, Wallace can open doors by jumping up and swinging on the handles and Hannibal can raid a bin bag placed at the very top of a door. He also adores chewing through cables which has put an end to Melissa’s love of fairy lights and her husband now buys earphones in bulk. However, it’s not all bad news. The brothers have made vast improvements, to their humans! Neat, tidy and minimalistic is how you’d describe the Watt’s home today. They no longer leave their clothes hanging on the dryer or computer cables lying around and dinner dishes are now washed, dried and put away before Hannibal can get his tongue to them. As he simply refuses to respond to words such as “No”, “Get off”, or “Get down”, disciplinary cuddles have become their only effective form of control. Hannibal hates cuddles and like a teenager pushes you away with his paws. Are these two reprobates loved and adored? Like you wouldn’t believe!!!
