Melissa adopted brothers Phoenix and Merlin from the Stockport Cats Protection and six years later emigrated to Australia. It was a no brainer that the boys would be going with her. When they first arrived Melissa kept them indoors to which they adapted quickly and without fuss, although the balcony immediately became their favourite spot. They simply loved watching their new world go by. Australia offered many perks including kangaroo steak – Phoenix’s favourite. He never quit trying to steal it from the dinner table. Merlin wouldn’t touch it, too gamey apparently!
