One of the honest joys of my job is receiving stories and pictures from people who love their dogs. You make me smile, laugh out loud and at times blink back a tear. This simple entry made me weep buckets. “Zoe came into my life in 2007, when I used to walk her while her dad was working. In June of 2012 my baby sister was diagnosed with cancer. At the same time Zoe came to live with me as a senior dog. She needed a lot of attention because of various illnesses. I brought her back to life with lots of country air and unconditional love. In the following 20 months we became soul mates. She helped tremendously with my struggle dealing with my sister’s illness. My sister left this world in December, 2013; Zoe left us two months later on February 22, 2014. I feel as if I have lost a child.
